22nd Junewomensweardaily: Levi’s Keeps on Trucking
Graffiti artists André Saraiva and Shepard Fairey, the latter known for his “HOPE” portrait of Barack Obama, hit the new Levi’s Champs-Elysées flagship for the launch of a capsule line of denim trucker jackets designed by the pair. The designs are exclusive to the store. Fairey and Saraiva also created sculptural windows: one inspired by New York skyscrapers; the other by old fashioned Parisian advertisement kiosks, featuring original works by Fairey. For more

11th MayVOICE OF “CHOICES”
You have three more days to catch the comprehensive “John Chamberlain:
Choices” exhibit at the Guggenheim. Closing on May 13, the
career-spanning retrospective showcases the work of the late-great
artist who passed away in December and was best known for taking
Abstract Expressionism into the third dimension. Tonight, “the icy and
beautiful sounds made by the artist known as Zola Jesus seems suited
for the halls of one of the world’s most well-known museums,” explains
Flavorpill.com. “On this particular evening, she’ll be teaming with
composer JG Thirlwell for the third and final event of Divine
Ricochet, the three-part series of live music accompanying the
exhibit.” The choice is yours.
